While there is plenty of Lego on offer to see, personally I was really disappointed with the exhibition and my 4 year old daughter was unimpressed too. There were two main reasons for my dissatisfaction. The first was that there was very little opportunity for interaction with any Lego aside from one small car race track. In every room my daughter asked me what she could play with but it was a case of "look, don't touch". Secondly, as an adult, I would have liked to have read a little about the models I was seeing - a little history in to the model and whether it held any significance to the owner, or to NZ or to anything else really. But it was just model after model, with no additional insight. Perhaps if you're lucky enough to talk with the owner then this wouldn't be such an issue but, on my visit, it was busy and he didn't have time to spend with us. Overall, I think there was a lot of room for improvement and I don't think it was a particularly great place for young kids, particularly for the price. You could be better off taking your dollars and buying a Lego set to build at home with the family.

Amazing display of Lego, a lot of time and money has been put in to creating this wonderland for not only kids, but also the young at heart. Our 4 year old son absolutely loved it and can't stop talking about it days later. He especially loved the trains, remote control vehicles and the "magic" windmill at the end. Great place to visit. Amazing display. Our lego mad son had a fantastic time there was even lego remote control cars he could play with. Only downside was a little bit pricey and didn't have eftpos available at the time, luckily there are a couple of banks just up the road

It is ok for a rainy day. There isn't anything else worth visiting in Waihi with kids to be honest. Spike wasn't working they day we went and looking at the reviews he is an important factor to make the visit worthy.

Dropped in on impulse after walking past and loved the incredible displays - I think Spike enjoyed showing them off as much as we enjoyed seeing them. You don’t need to be a kid to enjoy it. Photos don’t do it justice and there are quite a few rooms to explore.
