Story

I am Socky. I am the only pet of Evan and Tracey. We live in Fairway Bay and this is my page, but it's also here to build a kind and caring cat community from all around the world.

I was adopted on Friday 28 July 2017 after meeting Tracey and Evan on Tracey's birthday a few days earlier. I have a lovely room and am being fed well and I am just getting used to them.

I was born in Auckland #westside and it turned out that I was born in the same suburb that Tracey and Evan had lived in for 20 years before moving where we all are now. Co-incidence?

I was rescued from my birth home along with my siblings due to being mistreated by the adults at that house.

We ended up at a lovely place called Gutter Kitties who have a no kill policy, so my life was saved. If you are ever thinking of donating to a cat rescue team please donate to them. Without them I wouldn't be here.

Gutter Kitties fostered me out to Lisa, Roger and Gracie who looked after me and my friends so well for 3 months until it was time for me to come and live with Evan and Tracey.

I have had several homes in my life but I now feel after 3 months that this is my home and I am here forever now and they won't ever treat me bad or leave me. It has taken me a little while to learn to trust but I trust these two and now I am starting to get bolder and bolder and trust one or two other regular visitors to our house too. Slowly does it eh?

Tracey spends the most time with me, and she is in a wheelchair. I sleep in her wheelchair every night (I decided this, not her!) and I love to jump on it and sit on the arm rests and wrap my tail around her neck in a tale cuddle or jump off it in all sorts of sily ways. She works from home so we spend a lot of time together and we have a lot of fun.

This page will chronicle some of my ups and downs, some pictures and just whatever happens...

As I am a pet, I am technically 'owned' by Tracey and Evan. But as I am a cat, it's a well known fact that I, infact own them. Have you also noticed that I am a tuxedo cat? I'm all class.
