If you don’t come here while you’re in New Plymouth you are going to regret it! It’s the best meal I’ve had in New Zealand! This place truly deserves a Michelin star! Don’t hesitate and treat yourself to an elegant dinner with flavor and great drinks!

The food was just so so, but why served me sparkling water and didn’t tell me that cost $13.5? Medium steak was obviously overcooked and you said that’s how New Zealanders cook? We waited 40mins to have our food on table, so that we missed the sun set. What a terrible dinner is that.

Absolutely loved our experience at Social Kitchen! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Every dish was a standout — the pork belly was perfectly soft and rich, the beetroot salad was fresh and vibrant, and the fish was cooked beautifully. You can really tell there's care in both the food and the service. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in New Plymouth

Very relaxing atmosphere, staff very attentive, helpful and pleasant in all hosting aspects. Food was presented relatively quickly. The large plate portion of slow roasted Shoulder of Lamb was served tender succulent and ample for 2 people. The sides of Baby Carrots, Baby Peas, sk slaw complimented the Lamb nicely.nA big thanks again to the staff and recommend this a great place for both smaller intimate dining as well as their ability to provide for larger parties.nWell done Social Kitchen, I recommend without hesitation.
