Absolutely excellent service, staff a delight to talk too always helpful and cheerful. Vehicles provided, clean and reliable. Would definitely use SNAP RENTALS again and recommend to anyone for a no fuss, stress free car hire service. Very reasonable prices which is hard these days and office very easy to find and having the shuttle service to and from the airport is excellent and a handy service to add for a no stress trip. Just completed a 4 day hire with snap rentals. Excellent service.. the staff were very friendly, pick up and return of the car was seemless, quick and effortless. Car was great and good prices too. Can't fault this company at all, highly recommend.
UPDATED REVIEW: The lady Jessie in the Auckland airport office has managed to resolve all my concerns when I return the car, hence changing the 1 star rating into 4. Overall I am satisfied with the rental but the call centre definitely need some improvement. I have spent all my phone credits 200 mins trying to reach someone through their call centre but has been unsuccessful, sent a couple of emails during the rental as well but have not received a single response… the only possible way to get in touch with them seems to be physically visiting their office during business hour.
Nice car, makes the daily trip around the region possible from point a to z with out hustle. Shuttle to airport is easy. I will use again next time. Friendly staff too good job Queenstown branch.
WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. I rented a car from this company that came with a WORN Wiper blade 3 BROKEN AREAS , PLZ CHECK THE ATTACHED PHOTOS AND WINDSHIELD.. It was extremely dangerous at the rain season in Auckland. I couldn't drive the car at all so I went to a mechanic shop to replace it. Before I went to the mechanic shop, I reported to Snap that I'd like to get the refund for the cost of replacing the wiper blade. It was a reasonable request , but the answer I got was " NO, The only solution we can offer is that you drive it back and we can either replace the wiper blade or swap a car for you." I said " 1st, I cant even dive it cuz of the heavy rain. 2nd, Who is gonna take the responsibility for the potential accident on the way back to your company ? 3rd, I paid for your service, you are supposed to provide a safe car to me The WOF expires on 24/06, but it was still rented to customers on 03/06 . Who is gonna pay for my 2-3 hours from North Shore to Airport ?" SNAP " Bla bla bla bla the only solution ........ " Me " Plz put whoever is in charge on the phone, or plz tell me your name cuz you are talking to me on behalf of your company so I have the rights to know who Im talking to ." SNAP " We dont have a manager today, you can only talk to me and I wont tell you my name cuz I feel Im being threatened " .............................. On the return day 06/06/2022 , I still friendly explained to the receptionist. The receptionist confidently promised the manager would contact me on the very next working day. Today is already 09/06/2022, nobody contacted me at all. BTW, the brake was making grinding noises every single time I depressed it. What a horrible car. And , the car was 2014 and full of dents and scratches all around. I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU NEVER RENT A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pickup day So far been waiting 1 hour for the airport shuttle after requesting 4 times now. Yet to no avail. Had to book an uber to get to the pickup Drop off day Further more. They have charged me a cleaning $200 fee as they claim I was smoking in the vehicle which I absolutely was not and claimed I never filled the vehicle and as a result have set debt collectors on to me. The car was in a disgusting unclean manner when I picked it upnd I left it better than I received it. Do not use this company. The Irish lady was very nasty. Absolute abhorrent dishonest and a rort.
I used Snap Rentals for the first time recently after another company let me down with a booking. The price was competitive, the booking process was quick and easy. The system for booking the shuttle pick up was super easy click a link in the email and they arrived quickly. All the staff were lovely, the car was clean and tidy. I will definately be using Snap again.
We always use snap rentals when visiting Auckland multiple times a year. They are so easy to deal with. They have a great friendly team of staff. Online bookings are so easy to make. Cars are always immaculate. Great communication too! Thanks Snap Rentals
I'll give you 5 stars as we got a really nice car. And you refund my deposit really fast. And was easy to deal with. Just wish I had of known about the $0.00 waver, then I wouldn't have purchased the insurance as it looks like it covers the same thing. Anyways I'll know better next time. Thanks.
The car we hired was a 2017 Toyota Corolla estate and when we arrived at Snap it was ready and waiting for us. It performed fairly well despite having 121k km on the odometer. The car did lack power at times and the kick down was intermittent when going uphill but we did manage to cover around 2k kilometres relatively untroubled. However, I wasn’t impressed by the hole in the driver side floor carpet, the alarm wouldn’t always seem to set properly and cosmetically there were some missing exterior plastics and numerous paint chips. We returned it fully fuelled as required in the agreement and advised them that the brakes seemed to squeal occasionally even though the car had only just been serviced.
