Silverstream Retreat is located midway between Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt cities, and 25minutes drive to downtown Wellington.
The Retreat sits on a terrace overlooking the Hutt Valley and is surrounded by native bush, making it an ideal setting for your break away, wedding, conference, function or camp.

We have a dedicated professional team to ensure your event is successful. Our in-house Executive Chef and catering team will work with you in every aspect of your planning to create a memorable occasion. We have a range of beautiful four star motels, and our Twin-share and bunk accommodation areas are ideal for group bookings.
Our renovated buildings have been designed in a modern rustic style with a variety of event spaces available.

We chose to stay at this retreat while in Wellington for the World of Wearable Arts event. We stayed in a two bedroom motel unit that is wonderfully decorated, comfortable and had beautiful views down across the river. Such a peaceful location! The location made it easy to commute into the city via the train plus lots of nice cafes a short drive away. Will definitely be back soon
Lovely Friendly Staff. The church survice was so cool I will definitely go there agein. The cafe burgers were so good since the patty's were gargantuan huge it had a nice flavor. And the chips were also really nice. 12 out of 10 Food & drinks: Really good cafe

Stayed for a wedding, what a great retreat, wonderful views. Rooms tastefully decorated, beds comfortable. Ordered the breakfast, great value for money.Rooms: 5/5
We had picked up our key earlier in the day without checking out the room and then when we arrived later that evening found the room hadn't been serviced no blankets no towels in fact the dirty old towels was still sitting in the bathroom luckily the night Porter found us another room.we sent a email but no apologies at all. do not stay
My company has had a few events here. Different buildings with different layouts to meet your needs. There is also accommodation available though I've not started there myself.
Great place for our work Christmas party. Awesome to have a lovely outdoor space, and the food was good
Considering how close it is to the main roading it is a peaceful spot and the facilities are great. Was there as part of a business session and was very impressed. The catering and service was excellent.Service: 5/5

All up a lovely place to stay, would stay again. Amazing cooked breakfast. Nice room in excellent condition. Rooms would rate 5* if there was better clothing storage, e.g drawers. Very small hanging area. Swap out bedside tables for small drawer unit would be all that is needed.Rooms: 4/5
