Parklands Motel

A very pleasant experience. My family of 3 stayed in unit 2 for one night. Very spacious and comfortable. Quiet location and close to a 4Square, a dairy, a bakery, 2 takeaways and a sports bar. Will definitely recommend. Thank you Mike.

This is a wonderful, well cared for place. Michael and his staff keep the place looking great and the rooms are extremely clean and provisioned. I stayed in 3 of the rooms over 2 and a half weeks and found them all very comfortable and quiet with everything I needed. This included a generous free wifi internet connection so I could stream my TV shows etc in the great TV receivers he provides.

We've stayed here twice now ahead of tramping trips on the Whakanui track. We've always received a warm welcome, the room is very comfy, and the location is great. We're looking forward to staying again - thanks for taking such good care of us!

I surprisingly enjoyed my stay here. Although the room furnishings are old they do give you a homely feel. It's great to have big cups to drink from for a change. Lots of hot water and it's great to hang up the t towels in the hot water cupboard. The owner is very friendly and the motel sits in a stunning native nz bush surrounding on one side. The prices are very reasonable. Although out of the way it is stunningly quiet. No truck or traffic noises.Cheers to the owner.
