Great hole in the wall for a hearty meal!nnI’m very picky when it comes to Japanese food is why I stay away from most commercial and franchise joints but I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised with this one.nnTheir vegetarian option is so good too!nnIf you like simple and good food, come down this way for some!
I visited this ramen shop for lunch today. The location is a bit off the beaten path; we only spotted it after navigating through the parking lot. The interior décor and layout have a distinct Japanese style. Sitting in the outdoor canopy, sheltered from the blazing sun, created a serene ambiance reminiscent of scenes from a Japanese drama. The staff and chefs conversed in Japanese, which instilled confidence in the authenticity of the cuisine. We ordered the Shoyu Ramen, Spicy Shoyu Ramen, a mini combo of sides, and a classic matcha pudding. The ramen broth, made from pork bones, was incredibly rich and undoubtedly homemade. The noodles had the perfect texture, and the fried chicken was crispy on the outside and tender inside. The matcha pudding was delightfully silky, with just the right amount of sweetness—absolutely loved it! Highly recommend this spot if you're a fan of Japanese cuisine and ramen like myself. Don't miss out!
Show Wa Noodles has always delivered exceptional authentic Japanese food. Glad we have access to this local gem out in East/ South AKL . Quality has been consistent over the years and this is one of the main reasons why I keep coming back. Food is always fresh and delicious and I’ve never been disappointed. Even when I’m full, I’ve never felt bloated or heavy to the point of disgust. I always leave feeling satisfied and good full. You must get their SUMMER SPECIAL Cold Ramen/Soba/Udon, it’s so refreshing and delicious. Highly recommend.
Very hearty bowl of noodles, and what I enjoyed was the elderly couples who sold the lovely wakashi there… so nice to have a small sweet treat after the noodles.nnThe whole experience reminds me of my trips in Japan
this place is very hidden but the taste is so good, noodles were amazing perfect portion for price aswell not too expensive. The donburi was amazing too very sweet taste delicious rice.nnFinally the cheese sticks never tried before but very tasty and rich. Also the seating is perfect for hot summer so get nice cool evening air
