Shining Peak Brewing

This is one of the best restaurants and the best brewery we have visited during our stay in New Zealand - such an awesome and unexpected great experience. I was very sceptical first when reading that a brewery should be one of the best restaurants in New Plymouth, since I am usually not a big fan of pub like food - so when I first have seen their menu I was not that convinced - nevertheless we gave it a try due to the great reviews and we were not disappointed. We were highly surprised by the awesome quality and preparation of their food - all done with a special twist - much higher standard than what you would expect from a brewery - very fine tasteful freshly prepared food with great flavors - it was such a delight. Every dish was special. This great food in combination with their selection of amazing beers that we all tasted that evening was just superb. Also listen to the great friendly service and their awesome recommendations. Such sympathic people. All in all this was a perfect evening in casual atmosphere of that impressive small brewery. I would recommend this as a must visit when you are in that area. I will come back, if I am back around there.

Had a fish of the day the other day - grilled snapper with skin, finished with butter and capers - so delish!nThe pork belly and smoked snapper sandwiches took photos too late were so good!nThe service was also amazing. I come to shining peak any time I’m in new Plymouth and it’s a great experience- the service is always great, nice atmosphere and a combo of the food a beer tasting paddle is a fantastic time. I usually eat from the small plates menu - the duck and orange pate is my favourite, but have also enjoyed the fried chicken, croquettes and the lamb ribs. Duck pate and croquettes in photos

After quite a long drive and settling down at the hotel, we were craving for food and a drink. Shining Peak Brewing was nearby, had good food and nice drinks on their menu and seats available for us without reservation. We took Fried Chicken Bites, Pork Belly Salad, Fish of the Day, Flat Iron Steak and a few of their beers on draft. It was a delicious. We are happy!

Hands down the best eatery in New Plymouth - extraordinary food and beer, chill vibe and outstanding service!We dined here 4 out of the 5 days we were in New Plymouth and each occasion was amazing to say the least. Luke and his team were so welcoming, we will definitely be back
