Great and such a lovely school ..Love it when all teachers ,prefects and helpers are all out directing the traffic..This helps us parents dropping off kids to school..Thank you so much.First year for my daughter and for me to drop off and pick up my girl from school..1000% great service !!
Good education environment overall, however, some teachers make it unbearable. The uniform rules alone deserve a whole ted-talk for how absurdly strict they are. Girls specifically get told off for the smallest things; diamonds in your ear? take them out right now. Nose hoop under your mask? Take it out. Your necklace is showing underneath your shirt? take it off. Your hair is slightly tinged an unnatural colour? re-dye it right now. Its insane how these grown adults think that these simple altercations to my appearance will affect my learning. SO MUCH for a school about creativity and faith, how am I, a growing teenager, supposed to express myself if there are restrictions preventing me from doing just that? How am I, a literal child, supposed to find what I want to be and who I am, if I cannot express myself through my appearance? How else should I do that?? Not to name names, but some teachers truly do not deserve to be getting paid the same amount as some of their counterparts. Tell me how a grown 50 year old woman, throwing a tantrum like a child, yelling at her students and telling us she doesn't like us, deserves to get paid the same amount as her nicer, more matured and understanding co-workers? Enlighten me, how does a grown woman who tells her students to not give her attitude, or be a "smarty pants" for simply trying to correct her or prove something she said was wrong, deserves to get paid the same amount? Tell me, how having a conversation with this SAME GROWN WOMAN is the equivalent to talking back? It's insane how students a fraction of these teachers' ages have more dignity and maturity than them. This same grown woman, refuses to let her male students go to the bathroom less than 5 seconds after letting her female students go. This grown woman, gets off consequence free even after having multiple complaints about her thrown towards deans, school-counsellors, higher powers, etc.
Great school with nice learning environment. Good communication from school and let us know what’s happening and how the kids are performing. Reasonable amount of homework and tests to keep studying on track.
It took one death for the school to start reaching out to students, one death is already too many. This school is a joke. Not only are a concert of students horrible but some teachers too. Literally the most horrible experience to go to school, every morning I wake up dreading going to this place. The education system isn't bad, you sure will learn but I cant guarantee you'll even enjoy learning at that point. Stress is a daily thing, some people say it's easy and even shame people who struggle, you people are really the cherry on top of this garbage truck of a school. Hope you teachers actually make an effort to support students instead of turning a blind eye to obvious signs that they aren't well, even if there aren't obvious signs there should at least be regular check ups on students.
overall it is a great school. there are lots of people and it is easy to make friends. Although some of the teachers are very old fashioned and have not changed they way of teaching. Some of the teachers don't even teach you they just give you the work and make you do it. You can't judge a school form just some of the teachers. Most of the teachers there are wonderfull and really want you to learn. The grounds are beautiful and inviting. Its is a great environment to learn and grow. I recommend this school for everyone and anyone.
Such a beautiful school! Values are well implemented, teachers are truly dedicated and determined, and there are so many opportunities available for students : As a student myself, I can safely say that the people are so nice, everyone's so friendly and teachers are always super happy to help. I particularly love the wide range of co-curricular activities - sports, music and academic are all covered. Highly recommend!
This school has a wild superiority complex. It has been going especially downhill for years since the arrival of the new principal and departure of the old teachers. This school is mediocre at the very best, but the staff act like it's somewhere everyone wants to be, and will constantly threaten you with "DO YOU WANNA GO TO ORMISTON?" if you act up in the slightest. At this point, yes PLEASE.
I attended this high school four years ago. There were some absolutely fantastic teachers. But they were far far outweighed by the disgusting appalling teachers hired by the school. Several were blatantly sexist. Several expressed the fact they hated teaching and overall hated their job. Awful awful behaviour by people hired to teach myself and my peers. They would dangle things over your head such as a "letter of recommendation" as a threat against your behaviour no one in my entire life has ever asked for my high school letter of recommendation. It's extremely chidlish behaviour. Holding something over your head that means absolutely nothing, just so you won't fulfill a harmless school prank, is the behaviour of a child. If you want your kids to be patronised and disrespected, by all means send them to Sancta. If you want your children to learn actual respect, I would look elsewhere.
Great school with a large filipino and asian student body
This is a great school, with lots of opportunities. The teachers are caring, positive and really want their students to do well. I, personally, have continually grown since coming here 4 years ago.
