Parking is free, it’s a good place to take in the view of the bay and Mt Maunganui. Good spot to start a short stroll up the beach and back.

Great Wharf for cruise ships, perfect location to jump off and explore the city without needing a shuttle bus transfer.nnIf you are arriving here on a cruise ship make sure you check out Mount Maunganui and Main Beach, both are purely stunning. Bring your walking shoes for Mount Maunganui.
Great place to take your young ones fishing. If not into catching your dinner it's fun to talk to those there. Has good view of The Mount and Pilot Bay. Great evening spot to walk and enjoy the sunset. Excellent ice cream and fish and chips shop nearby plus restaurant. Parking area near the wharf but can get very busy during weekends or holidays.
Good place to hang out with family . The dock near gets somw cruise ships at times. The fish and chips shop near is good but takes forever to the food. Has some play equipments for kids like trampoline for a price.
