nnThe Mount hike was absolutely incredible! The views from the top were breathtaking, and the whole experience was well worth the effort. The trail is well-maintained and offers a good challenge without being overwhelming. Once you reach the summit, the panoramic views of the coastline and surrounding area are just stunning. It’s definitely a must-do for anyone in New Zealand, whether you're a seasoned hiker or just looking for a beautiful outdoor adventure. Can’t wait to do it again! Highly recommend.
Beautiful, all round views, takes about 30-45 minutes to ascend depending on fitness level & the path you choose different gradients. Definitely worth climbing up. Take water & sun block. Some paths are gravel, sandy tracks & others with built in wooden steps in the path.
This is a must if you have the time. Stunning views from many different angles at the top. A few options to get to the top, ranging from a steeper but shorter route with stairs, or a more gradual pathway. We took about 35min up the steep section with a few water breaks. We saw a few folks in sandals or barefoot, but would recommend proper shoes for the hike. Enjoy!
Excellent walk, Medium to Hard level of fitness, a little difficult for those with sight impairments, though my daughter 11 with sight issues managed ok. Great sight seeing and a beautiful day. Recommend to all ages though take your time if older. All in all a five star rating.
