The Rotary Club of Kerikeri is in the beautiful Bay of Islands. Join us at 5.45pm each Monday at the Homestead Bistro & Bar, Honestead Rd, Kerikeri.
Whether it’s building barbeques in the Stone Store Basin, helping kids from our community achieve their full potential, or pitching in to make a success of our vital annual fund-raisers, the Rotary Club of Kerikeri is an important strand in the fabric of our community.
Ours is one of the most active and influential Rotary clubs in the region. We’re a friendly, inclusive bunch united by a desire to pitch in and help our town maintain its position as the jewel in the crown of the Bay of Islands and the Mid North.
It used to be said of Rotary in New Zealand generally that we were ‘pale, male and stale’. That doesn’t hold true today. Our own club’s membership is increasingly reflective of Kerikeri’s population and now spans a wide range of ages, trades and professions, and backgrounds. This mix is part of what makes our particular club so dynamic and interesting.
Being part of Rotary is more than just giving back to our community. It’s also about you bringing your skills, experience and enthusiasm to help it thrive, while making some great friends along the way.
Flexibility is a priority and that’s important because family and work always have to come first and second. Our members attend only the meetings they can manage. And in true Rotary style we’re involved constantly in a wide range community and youth development projects, both in the Mid North and internationally. This breadth of activity means that here there truly is something for everyone.
