Kerikeri closes its streets after the annual half-marathon. Local foodies & wineries offer the best of Bay of Islands food in a huge celebration.
After the annual Kerikeri Half Marathon presentation wraps up, our organising volunteers spring into action. The Kerikeri shopping precinct is closed to traffic at each vehicle entrance to the east, west and south. Now our musicians and foodies start setting up their stalls and music equipment at carefully organised locations the length of Kerikeri main street. Lighting is erected, and other public facilities delivered and moved into place. By 5 pm, we are ready to roll, and the party begins.
