Good rooms but traffic and the train were a bit noisy hence it disrupted our sleep. Other than that though everything was fine.
I was travelling from Christchurch and redwood took a last minute booking from me. The gent that booked me in was very friendly and helpful, took time showing me around even though it was past a decent hour on a Saturday night. The room is very dated, but it is clean, warm and smells nice. It’s bigger than what I would expect for the price, very reasonable!! I would be more than happy to stay here again
Our room was up a steep flight of steps. This would make things difficult or impossible for older people or people with mobility issues. Even for myself, they seemed a bit dangerous. Fold out bed very hard with metal bar obvious. No air conditioning, it was broken and no fans on a very hot summer day. Owner was cross when I gave feedback. Train track very close. The complex needs modernizing. Wouldn't recommend but maybe there are better rooms because there is some good feedback. Ours was poor for above reasons.
Been staying with my husband for 1 week. The place is clean. Be used to hear noises from Train. But I'm sad to have weak access of Internet WiFi. Maybe bcoz it was publicly without password . I recommend that they will make it into private limited access.
