Quest Mt Maunganui

Well situated within walking distance of the beach, Mount Manganui, restaurants, shops and activities. Plus everything in Tauranga is within a short drive. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms. Hot showers with decent water pressure. Full kitchen, plus a washing machine and dryer in my room were very handy. Friendly staff. There is on-site parking, however they do charge for this despite there being free on street parking with no time limit across the road.

Light sleepers and Long distance drivers beware! Even though the location and the property itself is great, we were not able to get much sleep here unfortunately.nWe stayed on a Saturday night the very loud, deep bass music blaring from the bar across the street made sleep and rest impossible. Hence we later understood why there were ear plugs provided in the room which did not help much sadly.nThe after hours check in procedure is extremely awkward and annoying as the intercom were not manned and it took at least 15 minutes to get an answer. The call was disconnected mid conversation and it took more time to re-call and wait for an answer.nFinally managed to gained access and retrieved our check in envelope but after reading all information there were NO mention of where the car park is located. Luckily an existing guest came out and we were able to ask him regarding this. To call the intercom would have no doubt taken another 10-15 min hold.nWhen checking-in in the rain and dark, there is NO way anyone can spot the tiny hotel logo on a sign at the back.nDid not enjoy our stay due to these annoyances. Unable to recommend this property and we will not be back. There are plenty of options at this price point along the strip.nSuch a shame as the property and studios were new, clean and centrally located. The lack of sleep and rest really affected our long drive the next day.

Absolutely flawless stay with Angel, Jay and the team at Quest. The premises was modern, tasteful and squeaky clean and all staff were vibrant, warm, friendly and super efficient - it makes such a difference when the staff all seem like they genuinely enjoy being there and serving customers to the best of their ability. Top notch experience and would recommend to all!! Thanks team, love your work

We had such a great stay at Quest. The building is beautiful, modern, cleanliness exceptional. All of the staff were friendly, approachable, and easy to deal with from start to finish. The location honestly couldn’t have been more convenient for us while attending an event at Bay Oval, with everything else we needed close by as well. Could not fault a thing - We’ll definitely be back.

We were here for 4 nights and loved it! It’s near great restaurants and cafes and there’s a super nice sidewalk along the beach for a run! We really appreciated the washer/dryer and the soap provided was an unexpected treat. The hotel is very modern and spotless. We parked our car across the street for free. You could pay $15 to park in their lot. It didn’t seem any more secure than the free spots across the street, though.
