Mount Maunganui Beachside Holiday Park

Our one night stay here was lovely! We got an amazing location right on the beach front. Which we thought would be loud but it wasn’t too bad.nShowers were clean, free hot water with good water pressure. Never have to wait in line. Receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. Other campers were lovely and friendly. So close to the mount walkway and the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

So I would say that the location is fantastic. It’s more than amazing. Right on the beach and amazing views. But the place didn’t come with blankets or towels in an ensuite cabin. Seems rather expensive for $240/night for no towels or shower soap and even blankets.

Best holiday spot in The Mount to stay. Staff are helpful and the over night security do a great job keeping the guests safe.nIt's a shame that some guests didn't believe in the camp rules and became abusive towards security guards.

NOT SAFE.nKeep that in mind.nnFirst time I had things stolen in a camping site.nSee my daughter crying in the Christmas Day to loose her Electrical Scooter was heartbreaking.nVery disappointing.nnDon't bring anything to the site.nWe had our bike and electrical scooter stolen in the midnight. Even locked in a metal fence 1 meter away from our cabin's door. The burglar cutted the locker and took it.nnThe cameras are useless and the staff in the front desk doesn't care about you.nnThey didn't even want to check the cameras because they claimed it would take hours.nnHundreds of people cross the camping site all the time coming from the tracks which makes the site very unsafe. That's why you need FOB for all the facilities access.nnThere was also a cleaner vacuuming the facilities outside at 04:50 am with a very noisy vacuum.nnThe kitchen and the cabin was clean. But very old fashion. The water temperature can not be adjusted and was too hot. Impossible to be under the shower.nnThey need urgently to install more cameras and security guards.nnLocation is good if the racer boys don't decide to bother you during your stay.

Great place for anyone wanting to get away for a few days or a few weeks. Very accommodating, we called Christmas eve to book a site for boxing day and they had one available for us. Great location, fabulous clean facilities.
