Story

Welcome to the Queenstown Arts' Centre

Queenstown, on the edge of Fiordland in the South island of New Zealand, is a vibrant, exciting place to live and the scenery back-dropping all the adventure activities on offer, inspires visitors and locals alike to live life to the full and give everything a go!

The QAC is an equally vibrant and exciting place to visit, albeit less adrenaline pumping and offers an opportunity to: meet artists; view and buy original and diverse artwork; and chat with like-minded people.

The Queenstown Art Society Incorporated is the managing body for the QAC and is made up of artist/volunteers who are dedicated to making ART available to everyone who lives or visits Queenstown believing that experiencing ART enhances well-being.

We manage:-
A community Gallery – The Cloakroom Gallery – open from Tuesdays to Saturdays 10am to 4pm
A suite of 10 Studios at a very inexpensive rental
Regular workshops where artists, experienced or beginning, can enjoy the benefits of tuition in our large workshop room
Regular judged exhibitions with generous sponsorship from local businesses
Inexpensive rental of the large workroom area (toilets and kitchen available) for community groups.
Offer learning opportunities to local schools, kindergartens, community interest groups
