The SPACE programme (Supporting Parents Alongside Children's Education) at The Salvation Army Queenstown, seeks to provides a forum for parents to share their experiences and an opportunity to consider different perspectives that are provided on various topics relevant to parenting and children’s development.
The sessions are run by facilitators who have knowledge, experience, and training in early childhood care and education.
The SPACE programme and curriculum has a flexible structure so it is delivered in a way that best fits with the needs of our community and the culture of The Salvation Army.
There are currently 132 programmes running nationally, with the demand for programmes exceeding what is currently able to be provided.
The programme is delivered in a way that is inclusive of all parents, and participants that have attended include a wide age range of age/situations including teens and young parents.
