There are some great doctors here but have had bad experiences with one in particular who doesn't seem to want to listen to her patients and their concerns. Took my teenage daughter in a while back to said doctor where she tried to push her towards having something different than she wanted despite my daughter flat out saying she didn't want that, she wanted something else and sharing her very real concerns. Instead of listening and discussing the alternatives she carried on with trying to persuade her. I myself have also felt the intention of persuasion in another very serious matter and left feeling somewhat judged and uneasy. Stupidly returned to have this doctor again who laughed at me when I wanted a scan after seeing an optholmologist because of very serious eyesight concerns, carrying on as if there was no issue to discuss unrelated medication not wanting to listen to anything regarding family history. We were told if we were that concerned about it we could go to middlemore emergency. Unexplainable deteriorating vision and the fact that I can no longer drive or work is very concerning to me! Upsettingly stormed out to go to middlemore, only to later receive a text message that she had sent a referral through, after being told she couldnt send referrals??. Doctors at middlemore were very helpful. Dr Hii is an awesome doctor, it's a shame he's not there anymore. Dr's Ali, Dr Zafarullah and Dr Falkiner are also good doctors. No problems with reception staff or nurses who are lovely or the practice, just one doctor there I wouldn't recommend, also the appointment wait time is terrible.
Asked if an appointment was available that day. They said no which is understandable. But, the next available appointment was 10 days away. This was a Friday and they said I can come in on Monday, not next week but the week after. Who runs this place? Your logistics are pitiful. It’s drs surgeries like this that cause a and e to become over run. Booooo to this surgery.
I made an appointment on behalf of my partner and I was appalled by the service received. The receptionist I spoke to was extremely rude and sounded annoyed by my request to make an appointment. I asked if there were any available in the morning if possible and she offered me something days later after I had asked for one that day. I just was seeing if there was any available in the morning, Her voice and attitude on the phone was just poor. She didn't seem accomadating and all I wanted was for an appointment. I don't want this to reflect badly on the doctors and the practice they do because they are great but I wouldnt recommend because of the service I got on the phone. It doesn't hurt to show people a little respect.
Getting on appointment is hard. Next day appointment is not good enough. Not sick tomorrow, sick now. If it is urgent go to the emergency. It used to be good but not anymore. Also opening times are from 8 am. It might be a while before the answer machine service is taken off.
Used to be great. Until they refused to enrol my baby, despite myself and rest of family having been patients since soon after their opening
After turning up there at 8am,with an emergency, the place was empty out the front, except for myself and the lady Jenny behind the counter, to my horror I was given three options, come back later that day, come back tomorrow or go somewhere else.
Appointment on time. Drs brilliant. All staff helpful. Always a pleasure.
Amazing and helpful staff. Offered to help look after my son while I was seen by the doctor. The doctors are great.
Have only had very good experience with all staff atSouth Docs very happy I enrolled here
Doctors good and friendly but why is it always hard to get through when I try calling?
