Always amazing. The staff are great and there's always so many awesome things for all the family to do!
Lot's galleries on display. Staff are friendly and welcoming. There are some kids activities going on, you better ask yhe information desk to check in what's offered.
Depending on your interests, this little museum may be well worth some time. It is very central and next to the library and research centre. It has plenty of Maori art, some native wildlife and geology information. Plus much more.
Amazing place. A lot of history and glance into the past of Taranaki. Family friendly with items for adults & kids with an inbuilt cafe. Free entry and easily able to spend hours here.
Awesome place to explore local history. The kid's scavenger hunt was just as much fun for us adults as the kids!

New plymouth is very lucky to have a first class museum. Has changing exhibitions periodically. The fixed attractions are excellent. Rates as well as any other museum you could visit
