While some of the displays would be considered "old", it's the celebration of old toys, so I think it's brilliant. Very nostalgic, and offers a good insight into the history and what it meant for Inglewood. Our children had a fun time with pushing the display buttons and having them move. Even at six and four at the time of our visit, they appreciated the age of the toys and how their Grandparents and older family would have played with them.
Lovely museum. $7 is definitely worth it. Have to say, a few moving display items need some TLC. If they sort that out it a 5 star rating. We really enjoyed it on this rainy day.Visited onWeekendWait time30–60 minReservation recommendedNo
Although it was very interesting, I was disappointed that it was only toy cars. If it were named the "Toy Car Museum", I probably would not have goneVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Called in here as it was always on the bucket list to visit. Had great memories as a kid with these toys. The museum is a LITTLE GEM and well worth a visit. The displays are fantastic and great little video with the story behind Fun Ho. Thanks for all your commitment and saving the toys.
Expensive to see absolutely nothing. I visit a lot of museums but Basically walked in and walked out. Could be interesting if your over 40yo. Worth a gold coin only.Wait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
If your a kiwi kid in the 70's or 80's you'll identify with a lot of the stuff here myself. For the few dollars it cost to get in, it was cool. A nice history lesson of toy manufacturing in the 70's
Great little museum showing the history of funho. Friendly staff and reasonable priced.
Good for about 30mins, two adults and a child and you are paying $17.50 which is a bit steep for what you get. No toliet either which is average as seeing it is targeted at children who are more likely to need to go toilet more often. Would suit kids more 2-3 years old. Over 3s get a bit bored quite quickly.
Well worth the visit. Very quaint and old school but our newly 5 year old had a blast for his birthday treat and got a new real toy truck to dirty up. Anyone with a pinch of nostalgia and any one under 10 will love it. Old dioramas, a video history, 850° hot furnace and a sand pit, what's not to like? We got lucky with toymaker Brian being onsite to set up some sand molds and giving us an old fashioned show and tell. Was interesting to set the toys in their part processed state. Brought back memories. The toys are basic yet so clever and tough. Thanks to all. Just a further note .... it's a year after this review and our lads truck has opened a quarry on many beaches since ...and is still in mint condition. Quality toy
If parents take themselves and one child, it's $15. Not bad, if the museum was a tad more extensive. It takes but a few minutes to see it all and though interesting, it's a bit light on. My 7 year old was bored in less than 15 minutes and we had seen everything in that time. Glad it's there. We do support it's continuation, but wish it was much more. Cheers,
