What a wee find!nIf you are travelling through or near Paeroa this is a must stop.nStopped en route South to grab a coffee to go and ended up buying a pastry and eating it there.nAll the food looked fresh and cooked on the premises.nLoved the displays and layout of the shop very tastefully done. Great wee selection of cheeses plus lots of lovely oils and dressings and stuff.nWish it was lunch time as the pies looked super yum too.nThere are a couple of tables outside and 4 bar stools at the window inside.
I didn’t think it was possible but they have changed my opinion on potato topped pies. The smoked fish and the red wine beef are both delectable. You do have to ask for them to be heated and it’s not 100% through but that’s only if I’m digging for things to critique, the flavour, crust, filling to topping ratio, even the shape. I’m looking forward to my next pitstop in Paeroa just for another one of these beauties.nThey also have a hearty range of sweeter treats, good coffee and a decent collection of oils a fun editions to your home pantry. Will be back!
So glad my family and I stopped here for a quick treat! A quaint bakery with vintage-decor along with a good selection of fresh pastries. Sooo delicious. Also really appreciated the lovely staff member who offered to take a photo of us after knowing it's our first time visiting. Will definitely mark this spot to visit again Thank you!
Providence Pantry in Paeroa is a little bijou I always look forward to visiting on my way to see family in the Coromandel. This quaint cafe-deli has a wonderful warm vibe that makes you want to linger just a little longer. The pies are simply magnifique - the best I’ve had since my childhood favourite from years ago, bringing back such fond memories. The cakes are equally delicious, with GF options too. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the owner is absolutely lovely, adding to the warm atmosphere. A truly charming stop-highly recommended
We took two pies, 1 salad and a scone. As french we know about good pies and quiches... This one were very good!!!
