Delicious dinner, beautiful interior with a romantic feeling. Perfect for date night or dinner with friends. Service was great, supised how large the meals were, we couldn't fit dessert. Delicious cocktails. You can order some wines by the half glass which is perfect if your driving. Not alot on offer if you don't eat meat but wasn't an issue for us. Will definitely be back.
Top notch food and service! We loved the oysters, beef tartare and steaks were cooked to perfection. We didn’t have room for sweet treats but we will definitely come back to try out more dishes!
After all the hype, I was somewhat disappointed by the service and Cheese Scone. But also because they said if I wanted my Scones toasted, I'd need to wait 30mins. So it was microwaved instead and that just didn't do justice to the supposedly award-winning Scone. Also tried their Orange and Almond Pistachio Cake. Good texture but too sweet.
We came first time here, using first table website. First man who bring us to sit table, he was so gently and nice but who did service to us was a bit Rush customer service. One of us was still eating, could wait a bit more until both of us finish eating then clean dishes. Sadly, We felt rush to eat. We had Casar Salad and Fried Squid as entree. For main, we had market fish it was blue cod with miso sauce and roast veges and Taupo Beef eyefillet steak with Truffle béarnaise sauce. Foods were lovely, especially I loved the Truffle béarnaise sauce and also the way of how they cooked blue cod was perfect. Soft and fluffy with crispy skin. Very nice. We had Tiramisu as dessert but its not real tiramisu. Its like cake taste like very sweet cake with coffee liquor so wasnt expecting for me. Overall, Good price by using first table. Nice food except dessert. Hopefully the waiter could let customer more relax to eat, not rushing to eat.
Lovely ambiance, great hospitality thank you Dex! and incredible food. Our night out exceeded our expectations! Lovely fresh & tempura oysters, beef tartare a wee bit of hot sauce is added, which we loved!, beautiful steaks and some lovely sides fries, cos salad and carrots - we’d all order it again tomorrow if we could.
We had breakfast and ordered the Pravda Big Breakfast and the Lemon and Basil Smashed Avocado, sundried tomatoes, Zany Zeus feta, pistachios. Food was very good!
Really enjoyed the express lunch and Wellington on a Plate cocktail. We also went on Valentine's Day, completely unplanned and got a window seat near the bar. They had pink roses on the tables and a special menu! We loved it.
One Wellington thing that we were advised we "must do" was a cheese scone from Pravda Cafe. Indoor seating was at a premium so we braved the outdoor tables and ordered a coffee and a cheese scone. The cheese scone was generous and delicious!! The coffee was also great. Friend staff. Kid-friendliness: Not really. Parking: Street parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible if there's a table downstairs. But squeezy.
It was hard to make a reservation given pre Christmas parties and gatherings, but we got in at around 8 place closes at 9:30. Watermelon salad was refreshing but I would prefer more feta cheese in it. Lamb rump steak was made to perfection. Their a-La Pavlova cake was actually better than some other places “true Pavlova”.
Elegant and opulent cafe/restaurant/bar. We only popped in for a coffee but thoroughly enjoyed the coffee they use local beans from Mount Victoria and the atmosphere while in there. The staff who served us was lovely and the wait times were minimal. We will be back to try the restaurant.
