Piha is really nice and luckily it was a beautiful day in Auckland, roads out to Piha would be windy and lots of bends , but its expected considering it's location, I would advise to take care when driving out, when you arrive to Piha there is a very tiny look out area where you can stop, it's usually full but if you see a spot it's great for photos, wegot there just before dusk

Visit KetiKeti WaterFalls about 1.30mins return Can swim at the falls, before heading to Piha beach.
Lovely scenic area, can get a bit busy with cars going by.
Worth a quick stop on the way down to Piha. Harder to stop there on the return trip back.
Take a moment to stop here as you drive into Piha to take in the beautiful views and to take a few photos. You can see a panoramic view of the ocean, the town of Piha, the Beaches, and Lion Rock from here. A great introduction to Piha!
Just 45 mins drive from Auckland City is Piha beach. Huge stone boulders will amaze you plus the big waves. You can opt to go on top for a nice view. Just be careful of plants though, they can be itchy. Better to wear long pants if you wanna hike.
Piha is a pleasant beach for a refreshing morning walk while being surrounded by the ocean waves conveying their positive energy into your life. Nearby attractions and services are available and are suitable for all choices and interests. Bit of mountainous road, but it's well maked and directive to reach your desired destination of Piha. It has more than one section or zone, so don't leave the place without having seen all the other nearby other sides of the beach. If you missed the morning coffee and home made muffins, you can always find your favorites in the nearby coffee shop opposite the post office. Have a great time and enjoy the experience.
Experience beautiful sunrise and sunset from this lookout. Very calm, Scenic. Not very far from AUCKLAND CBD. No public transport but Hiring a car for the day should be good. Near by you can go to Kitekite fall and kare kare beach.
Great place to get a bird’s eye view of the lovely Piha beach. Strongly recommend to take pictures from here, however it could be quite windy sometimes so ensure to stand on firm grounds.
