Oratia District School

Both my kids go here and it is an amazing school! Could not ask for a better community!nnEveryone from the teachers to the office staff to the principal or the caretaker are super friendly and welcoming. There is a real sense of family within the community.nnI couldn't ask for a better school to send my kids to and if you have the privilege of being able to send your kids here you will not be disappointed

I attended this school. back in the day and had the time of my life. I had great friends, teachers and lots of support. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to send their children here

My daughters first day today. Everyone including the kids were so so nice friendly and welcoming.1 year later.. This school is amazing. The staff are approachable easy going and just really down to earth and nice. Kids are lovely alot from Piha and out that way. Its a very kiwi school hope that makes sense without me going into to much detail! Has a swimming pool to so kids are able to develop swimming skills also a bike track that they use regularly. Great kapa haka group and they do fun things like talent quests to! All in all an amazing school with a lovely semi rural feel.

Good teachers on the whole but nothing is done about bullying at the school. Little to no supervision in yard at break time. No amount of complaints makes a difference bar making your child's more difficult. 7 years complaining. 4th generation. 3 different lots of children from varying members of family. All say the same. New head for a year but nothing has changed. Last generation to attend this school. Crying shame

im an ex student of this school and did not enjoy it i had bad teachers and learnt nothing from year 5 and year 6 and when i went to intimidate and found i had multiple gaps in my learning.
