Love it! To be fair, anything with good chocolate gets a high score from me. Great location and staff helpful. Great choices of ice cream and the chocolate waffle cones are awesome. You can even choose your own Ice cream stick. Would love one closer to home. Negatives? No sample tasting sticks
It is very good place for desserts. Variety of desserts. Modern and nice setting. Ice cream is so yummy. Coffee is also good. The view is quite good from the upstairs. Staff is kind and friendly. Highly recommended for short break and dessert lover.
Yummy dessert place! We got a caramel ice cream and a raspberry sorbet scoop, and the portions are HUGE! We can’t finish it at all but the flavours are really delicious. The raspberry sorbet taste like real raspberries. The hot chocolate is super chocolately, and the staff are really friendly. Definitely recommended!Recommended dishesGelato
I only considered giving them 2 stars and not 1 because the place looks decent and the ingredients seemed quality ingredients but used completely wrongly. Firstly, the lines to get the ice creams are crazy and they seemed to have sections to order different things and you have to line up for each specific think you would like to order. To me that is completely insane! And awful customer experience for something that supposed to be fun and pleasant like eating deserts! We finally got to order the ice creams and wow! I have a sweet tooth but WOW the amount of sugar they must used is horrifying. Even my little kids had 3 spoons each and left the ice creams almost full cups. They told me “mummy is too sweet sorry we can’t have them” this is coming from kids! my husband and I had a couple of spoons and left the rest and had to desperately find another place to buy water to pass the sugar load… we couldn’t get water from them as that meant queuing for a long time again. The service was average and you are literally treated like a number… no wonder as the queues are very long so for the staff must be the same. Just get people in and out… Overall a very disappointing experience! And waste of money.
Good desserts but a hot mess. First off, this is the only location for Patagonia along the boardwalk. If you search Patagonia Chocolates on google maps, there’ll be another search result that I don’t think exists anymore. Went in circles trying to find this store. When we finally found the right place, the tables were in a mess, there were people everywhere. Good for business I guess but the staff did not know what was going on. We asked about what came with crepes, it took three staff to figure what was in it. We stepped aside to decide on our ice-cream flavour and joined the queue to order. When it was our turn, the staff at the ice-cream section told us this queue was only for ice-cream, and everything else would be at the till. Okay, fair enough. But we turned to look at the tills and there were 10 people waiting to pay for their ice-creams, only one till, and we couldn’t join that queue as people kept cutting in. I get that its busy, but a better customer flow would’ve prevented the ridiculously long queue that wrapped around the counters and nearly reaching the stairs. There should be another till to cope with the amount of customers. The crepe we got was average, the ice-cream was decent. The entire experience was bad.
As someone with incurable sweet tooth, this place is heaven! Their ice cream speaks for itself, and the desserts filled us up very well. We greatly enjoyed it, and is definitely a must try to complete your Queenstown experience. It does get quite busy, but you're served quickly and the lines don't take too long to progress. Love it!Recommended dishesIce Cream Cone, Creme Brulee
Absolutely exquisite deserts, ice creams and chocolates…they were works of art, so many delicious flavours to choose from. They look good and they taste divine! Definitely worth a try. Big portions…. Very good location … awesome views and friendly and good service.
Located along the extremely picturesque lake in Queenstown and occupying two stories. This outlet has been here for at least the last 7 years. Inside, it’s warm, has plenty of seats and a second level to observe how sweets are made or just to enjoy the gelato and ice cream while staring at the lake. Gelato is given in generous portions and so is the ice cream. There’s also delicious cakes and coffee in this outlet. Service is fun and friendly during my visit. It’s lovely.
As first time exploring Queenstown, Patagonia was the top recommendation for tskme chocolates and desserts. Fortunately, just walking distance from our hotel and upon arriving there the place seems to be very busy as a lot queuing for their orders. I tried their pecan tart and it’s delicious, too sweet I would say but yummy. If you’re quite conscious with sugar then I bet you just need to pick the dark chocolate ice creamfor less sugar guilt. I got some chocolates as well for my friends in Sydney.
We got the waffles and crepes. Taste wise 5/5. Low stars given because I was given old brown bananas it was tucked under the waffles so didn’t see it until I moved it. Coffee was very strong and anyone who like strong coffee will love this.
