We recently visited Paradise ice Skating in Avondale, Auckland, and it was a fantastic experience! We came with a GrabOne voucher, which made the visit more affordable, and it was well worth it. There were four of us, and we all had an incredibly fun time on the ice.nnThe skate hiring process was smooth and hassle-free. The staff were efficient and friendly, making sure we had the correct sizes and fit. There were plenty of frames available to help beginners get used to the ice, and for those who needed even more support, there were whale chairs, which were a great option for anyone who might feel less confident. These little touches made it easy for everyone, regardless of skill level, to get involved and enjoy the session.nnThe ice arena itself was impressive, featuring real ice, which made the experience feel authentic and thrilling. The rink was well-maintained, though I will say the arena is quite cold as to be expected!, so make sure to dress warmly. The temperature definitely adds to the real skating atmosphere, but it can get a bit chilly if you’re not moving around much.nnIt brought back a lot of memories for me, as I used to love ice skating when I was younger. It was great to relive that feeling, and it’s a wonderful activity to share with friends or family, especially when everyone’s having such a good time.nnIf I had to point out one small downside, it would be the music volume. While the music selection was upbeat and helped to create a lively atmosphere, it was a bit too loud for my liking, making it slightly hard to communicate with others while skating. Turning the volume down just a notch would enhance the overall experience without sacrificing the fun.nnOverall, we had a blast, and I highly recommend Paradise ice Skating for anyone looking for a fun, energetic outing. Whether you’re an experienced skater or a beginner, this place has everything you need for a great time on the ice!
Great place to visit for a fun family day out. My kids really enjoyed it. Frames available to hire in different sizes and styles to suit little kids to adults. Cafe on site has a yummy selection of fried foods hot chips/hot dogs/chicken nuggets etc, as well as hot and cold drinks.
Took both of our grandsons here today to celebrate our big boys birthday whom turned 8 years old on Tuesday. First time for both our grandsons to ice skate. The atmosphere was ecstatic, good vibing music with friendly staff. The public and children skating were so helpful assisting the fallen including our two grandson's.nWe'll definitely be back more frequently as our grandsons totally enjoyed themselves.
Great day out! Esp in the unbearable heat we've had. Awesome service from the get go From the entry point til finish. Could do with some shoe racks to avoid tripping hazards and fixed chairs. There are lockers, but most people just leave shoes scattered where they take them off. Perhaps a shelf under the chairs may prevent this causing injury. However, service wise we were that pleased with the service we even gave a slice banana n chocolate cake to the staff that welcomed us.
Really good activity, get a long session for a reasonable price for a family. Staff friendly and helpful.
