Papakura Birthing Unit

Hi therenMe and my husband are first time parents and we arrived at the birthing unit in papakura on the 26/05/24 we were in room 5 and all we can say is just Wooow! Your staff does an amazing job we really enjoyed being there we were so comfortable with everyone they are so welcoming and caring and amazing at there job us being first time parents we were nervous and scared but with the help of your amazing staff they made it a lot easier for not only us but also our little baby the love they have for there job is so great and the environment just felt like home so it didn’t even feel like we were in a hospital care or anything it was just the best experiment for us and we both would love to say a BIG thank you to everyone for there love,support tips and tricks .nnMuch appreciated

It's now 30 years on. 18th March 94, my son was born in this birthing unit 30 years ago and i am so greatful and appreciative of the staff and beautiful atmosphere. I still remember my experience there, very caring and nurturing. I was there for a week after having my son, my first born and being next to train tracks was never an issue. He has just turned 30yrs old this year. Thank you to everyone 30yrs ago for looking after us like a whānau.

I was lucky enough to be referred to the lovely Lactation Consultant who runs a clinic here on Wednesdays.nShe went over and above to assess the situation and come up with a plan on how to help my baby and I going forward.nShe was highly knowledgeable and supportive and created a really comfortable non judgmental experience!nShe was also very reassuring that if any further issues were to arise I would be able to get in touch for further support.nI would highly recommend getting in touch if you need any breastfeeding support or advice!nThank you so much!

My wife and newborn spent 4 nights here. The midwife's here are super awesome and I couldn't fault them. It was great having the one on one time where they show you and teach you all the important stuff it takes to bring up a newborn. However I was no impressed with one of the cleaners who just walks into the room without knocking or anything and didn't bother closing the door behind them.

Papakura maternity, all you workers who know me and my baby Evéjah whom was born last year yeah the ones who jinxed me because I was wearing the mum slippers can't wait to see you beautiful people again in a few months for your hospitality, good laughs and great support xoxo
