Such sweethearts! They treated my cat, Frankie she, desexed female, DSH - mixed breed with so much care and attention. Definitely will continue to go here for Frankie's vet care. Definitely worth getting Best for Pet too. they helped with the claim and everything!
Normally the vets here are very professional and provide a high standard of care, which is why my family has been coming here with our pets for over 10 years. The reception staff and nurses are always amazing and so lovely! Unfortunately, a recent experience was very disappointing.nnI booked an appointment because our 14-year-old dog keeps develops ear infections around winter over the past two years. She had started scratching at her ears, which is a reliable sign for us that something is wrong.nnA young new vet, Caitlin, declined to examine her ears, saying that they were “dirty.” From our perspective, that was the very reason we made the appointment—we wanted a vet to help determine whether the debris buildup was simply wax or an ear infection again and prescribe the medication that has helped her in the past if it is needed.nnI take pride in keeping my pets clean and this is evident by how clean her white coat is, perhaps this new vet needs some further development and training on her customer service skills or perhaps she is simply not interested in performing her role? Either way, comments like this are not professional in any medical job.nnAfter we insisted that an ear swab be performed, it confirmed that she did indeed have an ear infection. That result made the initial reluctance to investigate even more concerning.nnThe communication throughout the consultation was very dismissive and unprofessional. We left feeling that our concerns were not taken seriously.nnIt’s disappointing because we’ve trusted this clinic for many years, but after this experience with Caitlin, I won’t be returning.
So happy with the care that Ginnie provided us at our appointments at Ourvets. She was super thorough and answered all questions. I didn’t feel rushed or pressured to make any decisions on the spot. I will definitely recommend to all. Thank you so much
Caitlin was so amazing with our dogs. So thorough and gentle but in complete control. Explains everything so well and very reassuring. Our dogs love here.
We can’t thank the team at OurVets Halswell enough for the amazing care they gave our cat, Arlo. He was treated for a urinary blockage and needed a catheter, which was incredibly stressful for both him and us, but the team were so kind, patient, and reassuring the whole time. They kept us informed every step of the way and took the time to explain everything clearly, which meant a lot. You can tell they genuinely care about the animals they look after and the people who love them. We’re so grateful—highly recommend.
