Our Lady Star of the Sea School

I couldn’t wait to make a review about how much I disliked this school after I left. I was a student at that school four years ago. Didn’t really learn anything academic wise and was overly focused on religion. The entire environment felt unproductive most of the time and everyday was extremely boring. Entire environment, how teachers treated you etc was completely messed up. A lot of teachers had favourites and picked on certain students, often yelling unreasonably and using their power to threaten students and even call them out in front of everyone, to only publicly humiliate them. I know this because this has happened to me multiple times. I felt that the entire school didn’t have a functional system as the teachers basically had total control.

It's been about 3-4 years since i last attended this school. great primary school i really loved it, especially the staff and teachers as they are very comforting and nice towards all students. i will admit some teachers are overly strict but that's okay in terms of education. I would like to visit this school and see my old teachers some day!

There are schools and then there is family. SOTS is family. We could not have asked for better start to life for our daughter. Staff members genuinely care about their students. Very pleased our daughter is in best hands when away at school.

100% one of the best schools in Auckland. Wonderful teachers who care about each child, and uphold the special character of the school. Having experienced another school, and then Star of the Sea, Star of the Sea is absolutely wonderful. A learning environment which offers every child the opportunity to be the best they can be.

Some teacher gets mad for small reasons. Generally, it is a good school. Most teachers are supportive of creating a good learning environment.
