I was pleasantly surprised to find a highly-rated Thai restaurant nearby on Google. Though the restaurant is quite small, it's exceptionally clean. We ordered pad Thai, fried squid, and green curry - all of which were absolutely delicious. The food was fresh and beautifully presented. I'd particularly recommend it to locals; you won't be disappointed.
We had such a wonderful lunch at Osha Thai! Every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented.nnWe ordered the Tamarind Duck with Rice, the Tamarind Pork Ribs, and Pad Thai, and each dish truly stood out. The tamarind duck was crispy on the outside, tender inside, and paired perfectly with the rich tamarind sauce and fresh vegetables. The rice served with it was perfectly cooked and fragrant.nnThe tamarind pork ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, coated in a tangy, sweet sauce that was absolutely addictive. Served over a bed of stir-fried vegetables, it was a perfect balance of flavor and texture.nnAlthough not pictured here, the Pad Thai was also amazing – classic, comforting, and well-balanced, with just the right touch of sweetness and zest.
Incredible food. By far the best Thai food in Auckland. The staff take so much care and attention to make the experience perfect. You must try it!
Osha Thai specializes in takeout, but we dined in their 3-table restaurant. We are renting an apartment in the neighborhood and it was highly recommended to us. The food is up to the highest standards. We really enjoyed Calamari, Duck Salad and Spicy Fish Salad. Finished with Mango Creme Brulee. All excellent. Very reasonable prices. The staff is nice but not attentive. Next time we'll just call ahead for takeout.
