We don't go out for Thai too often, but this quaint, small corner restaurant is likely to change that. We discovered Art Thai via an Entertainment Book discount wish there was more than one! and were even happier after seeing the menu as there were so many good sounding curry options. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming throughout and the presentation of their plates were even better with hearts made of capsicum, Christmas tree shaped rice, and more. Haha now, I started with the green curry on this first visit bc I had a craving for it, but wow that was surprisingly spicy! I don't even know what the red and creamy red ones might be like, but I'll take that heat challenge next time!
We order from Art Thai regularly. I can’t go past either the Pad Thai or the Red Thai Curry. We don’t get to eat in much as we have a baby, but the takeaway service is super efficient and the food is always hot. Highly recommend.
Food was good. Service was very slow. Took 40 minutes for our mains to come out and by that time we had to be somewhere so asked for it takeaway. The lady who took our payment was clearly stressed. There were only 15 people at max in the small restaurant. They are alright but there are better places around so I won't be returning.
Most amazing succulent duck I ever had, it was so spicy hot, but I couldn't stop eating. My husbands food was great too and even my daughter enjoyed the curry puffs. Little gem!
I have never been one to complain, but last Friday 20 Dec 2019 my brother and I ordered a takeaway. When we had finished eating, I noticed how incredibly thirsty I was. From that meal onwards we have both suffered from the most extreme constipation from then until now Saturday 28 and it was something that either accidently fell in to the meal, or something so binding and used with a heavy hand. I have lost money from not being able to work the few days between then and Christmas day, or after Christmas day. We have barely been able to eat anything since, but the small amount we have eaten has just joined the backlog. Apart from family highlights of this time of year, this has been the most miserable Christmas, because everything we go to do hurts and is uncomfortable. We have both tried to shift it with a mild laxative similar to Metamucil, but to no avail. We have eaten there in the past and the service is very slow. We wont ever be going back. :
I ordered a red curry with prawns. Although it was tasty, it was very salty, I drank at least 6 glasses of water at the restaurant and had 2 cups of tea when I got home. fsaltiness spoilt the meal
What a delightful little restaurant, warm welcome and lovely atmosphere. Small menu but the food is delicious! Service is great too. Definitely requires a return visit!!! Thank you for a yummy dinner
Worst takeaway Thai I've had, sauce came in plastic baggys! Eww ...satay sauce wasnt generous or tasty with appetiser, sweet and sour was watery, haven't dined in though but won't at risk of wasting good money.
My wife and I go regularly. Our favourites are 'beef stirfry' and 'yellow chicken curry' respectively. If you have a palate for hot, the Tom Yum is just that! YUM. Lovely, quiet ambience and the service under Roon's guidance is top class. Highly recommend. Barry and Kristin.
We go here a lot for dinner and take aways. Great BYO, Great service and amazing food. We have never walked away disappointed. Out fav local Thai
