Fresh, tasty, beautifully served food. Well priced and plentiful. Great friendly and fast service. The beverage list looked nice and the wee Japanese shop at back had cute gear too.

Had high tea for a friends birthday, these photos are from a while ago. The high tea food was great. No complaints there. The blooming tea is pretty and a nice concept, however it serving piping hot tea in a wine glass makes it hard to hold while drinking: but I suppose there's no other way to display the blooming flower other than in a wine glass.

Delicious foods that we had. The staff and their service was very friendly and timely. Don’t wanna missed their desserts. All foods are well presented,we will definitely be back!

Our experience Origami was excellent. We had attentive, thoughtful staff looking after us. Nothing was a problem for them. Prices were good and I advise sharing meals as a group, they all were delicious. The food on offer is good for meat eaters and vegetarians alike, and the food style to me was asian fusion. One rice bowl will feed two people and check out the cool things for sale down the back of the restaurant. Desert was well worth it $14.50, we had the roache so yummy. Give this place a try, you'll like it.

Such a nice and cozy place! Very nice sushi although is a little more savoury then what suits our taste, my family didn't quite like the ramen as well, but the dessert, the cakes were sooooo nice! I love them all! 5 star for the cakes! I will go back for high tea next time. The drinks are also very lovely, I like how the flower floats.

Great high tea experience! Both the savouries and the desserts were super good. I would go back for the matcha tiramisu alone, and the lemon rocher/quenelle was soooo yum. The blooming tea was very cute and overall had a good experience. We had to change our booking time to quite late and had to cancel for one person but the staff were super accommodating and understanding, so we really appreciated that! They also have a normal a la carte menu, and a dessert cabinet for individual desserts.

It was my first time dining with Origami and it sure did not disappoint! I had such a delicious meal and the desserts were incredible! Staff were lovely and very attentive. I can't wait to come back and visit on my next trip to Wellington again. Thanks for a lovely evening and a delicious meal team!Food: 5/5

Magic matcha and pistachio tiramisu is absolutely amazing. Good food, super exciting desserts and friendly staff, which of course are the most important things. But not enough staff. We and so many others had to wait a lot for receiving service.

This place is so pretty, the interior making the place feel authentic yet modern, the beautiful line up of aesthetically presented sweets right next to the door. But unfortunately it’s a bit of a lie. This place isn’t here to serve proper Japanese food, it’s just invested into pretty lights and dish-wear to hide its inauthenticity. All the food tastes, fake. The ramen was just sweet. No proper pork/tonkatsu flavour unlike other places were you can tell they put effort into the broth. the tom yam curry was milky and spicy, could not taste a single hint of any proper herbs or spices. One of the sushi dishes was nice, but not that fresh, although it looked very unique with its purple rice. The other sushi platter had really old weird fish, egg and other seafood on it that seemed unsafe to eat.The fluffy cheesecake was nice, the tiramisu was kind of mushed all together and didn’t have any distinctive layers, and the green tea tiramisu.. tasted like a dead fish. It was so fishy and bitter mixed with the flavour of old green tea. actually inedible. The blossom teas they had however were quite beautiful and delightful to sip on. The two girls working there seemed incredibly bored, and our waiter came out with our food quite fast, which isn’t a good sign when you’ve ordered something that usually takes a bit of time. All in all it’s a bit of a fast-food, fake restaurant. The food is still definitely not disgusting, apart from the green tea dessert but it is not authentic or thoughtfully crafted, or at least that’s the message I got when we ate there.

We come here pretty often. Very Very good ramen. The salt and pepper squid is the best. Services are awesome too. Will keep going back.
