I've purchased glasses on several occasions from this store and each time the staff has been super friendly and very helpful. On the last visit I purchased sunglasses for flying and they very quickly arranged for my prescription lenses to be fitted into my chosen style. The glasses not only reduce the glare but the added prescription lens also allows me to easily spot other traffic especially when entering the controlled zone for landing. I would highly recommend OPSM Mount Maunganui Bayfair to anyone considering sunglasses or reading glasses.

Super friendly, we’ll trained and helpful staff. My eye test with the optometrist was very Thorough and she took the time to explain everything too me so I had a real understanding of my results and my options. My experience was a 10 thank you

Would definitely recommend this business. Customer experience was 5 stars! Plus The service was great. Joon Lee the optometrist was very professional, polite and so knowledgeable. I hope the manager/owner value this employee as he is a great asset for the company. I think the customer service was superb which is really rare for find in the NZ market overall. Eye test was done very professionally, the lady was very helpful and did a thorough test for me. Sales lady could have been more helpful though. I’m thinking maybe you need to make info pamphlets for customers so they can see how much they are expecting to pay. I asked for a ball park price and was told to just go look for a frame before talking price. As a first timer I just felt lost and not being listened to when asking questions. I also asked about glasses that tint when you go outside and was just shown already tinted glasses which wasn’t what I was asking. The question never raised again during the buying process either. The sales lady was lovely and helpful though when collecting them and reassured me about the sick fishbowl feeling will go away after a few days so I’m really grateful for that.
5 weeks to get an eye test. 2 weeks for ordered contacts to arrive. Appalling.

Easy to Book online. Great and very professional, no pushy inexperienced sales staff who are only interested in a sale. No upselling. No pressure to upgrade or replace current glasses, True and very honest eye test.
