Great food and beverages served in our bar, restaurant and private courtyard Monday - Friday from 11am, Saturday and Sunday from 10am (closed Monday nights)



"Ombrellos Kitchen And Bar has a reputation of being one of the most prominent craft beer venues in the South Island. We offer 15 rotating craft beer taps, delicious lunchtime dinner time and all day bar food. We have live music on Fridays usually from 5 pm to 7 pm. We are recipients of the beer and lamb awards for the last 6 years. SOBA best bar and best restaurant winners 2018 and 2019."

Nice friendly Bar and Restaurant. Loved the space, great use of old cottages. The service was efficient and friendly, the chefs even waved. Food was great. I enjoyed the mushroom risotto with chicken added. My wine was nicely chilled and probably explained why I spent so much at Kilt afterwards. Overall the atmosphere and space really made for a great lunch. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options. Parking: Got a park right outside the front door. Dietary restrictions: Good gluten free options
Some friends and I stopped in for a drink and a snack. Despite the rain it was cozy and comfortable. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and they had some great Kiwi beers on tap. Snacks were tasty too. We all agreed that we would gladly return. Also they have a really pretty patio that we didn't get to enjoy.
Very pleased with food selections! Had a huge delicious steak with side of slaw and kumara chips. Super yummy! There is a great collection of beers on tap and in the bottle. You choose ! They are nicely accommodating food allergies and offering several options. Desert was also yummy! I recommend to visit this place . You wont regret it !
Tasty food, great beer garden
Excellent experience with making a last minute, large group booking. Recieved quick confirmation from Ombrello's and had a lovely table in the restaurant. Excellent service and very prompt drinks and food - they were also knowledgeable around food for our coeliac friends. Vegetarian options: Definitely had vegetarian and vegan options available Dietary restrictions: Cater for coeliac gluten-free, including a gluten-free deep fryer for chips.
I really enjoyed Ombrellos. I got the Ombrellos big breakfast picture 1, which was very filling. It was well cooked and the sauce on the potatoes was a good choice- light and spicy, but not overpowering. The bread was very nice as well. The coffee was a bit cold when it came out, however, and a bit underwhelming and lacking in flavour, unfortunately. However, it was a nice experience overall. Kid friendly and nice staff.
The food was alright, service was terrible. Didnt get our table cleared at all, and we were there chatting for a very long time after our meals. No soda water, and served a shot of whisky that we wanted with soda water in a beer glass..... pork belly was tough and dry, pulled pork tacos were also dry, polenta chips were nice. Platter looked great. Slaw is the main ingredient to accompany alot of the food.
Hired for "book-launch". Staff very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Food & drink excellent.Food: 4/5
Delicious food I had the chicken and mushroom risotto. Fast and friendly service. And lovely courtyard seating out the back. Would definitely come back!
We took friends of ours out for dinner to Ombrellos as a treat and we weren't disappointed. It was a lovely evening the food was great. Our waiter was very friendly and even went an asked the chef how he did his turmeric cauliflower which were really yummy. Not that he gave away his secret. Thanks for making it such an enjoyable night.
