Ocean Spa Napier

I love swimming and being in the water, and for less than $11, this is not bad. There is a very cold pool, a cold pool, a warm pool, and very warm spas that look out over the ocean and promenade. There's also a hot, but very relaxing sauna The spa pools have these jets that give you a lovely massage while you chill in the hot water, and take in the view. There is also an option to pay extra for a private spa. The place is a little bit sad and run down, and can definitely do with some upgrades, especially lockers

Very nice, relaxing pools right on the Napier foreshore. We went on a cool overcast day, and was comfortable in the big pool closest to the entrance. Some of the other pools were a bit too cool to enjoy that day, but looked like they would be great on a warmer day. The spas were nice and hot. Our toddlers had an absolute ball of a time,and our 11 year old had a lot of fun too. That in itself is a 5 star for us, as our youngest feels the cold something bad, and not once in our time at the pools did she look uncomfortable. The place was clean, and seemed to be well maintained.

Renovations or not this place is a must do. Very reasonable pricing, $10.70 adult entry to swim, lovely pools, Cafe connected to the outside, plenty parking, I really wish I had some photos but diddnt want to look like a perv. Nice and relaxing with ocean views, went Sunday after the local Market, the lady at the counter was super friendly and is really good at her job, super pleasant. Water was just right especially as the weather was also beautiful. This is actually a regular place of visit when I visit hastings. So must be good right !! See you before Dec or definitely during. This place needs to speed up its remedial construction work. Deadlines come and go and I cannot see any activity. It's a shame because it should be so awesome. On a separate issue the Cafe is good but opening hours are random, you can't count on it

Morning soak got there about 8.30am 30mins after opening. Staff at front desk were awesome and friendly, changing rooms are a bit run down, but dry. Showers seemed to have alot of hair and debris, for first thing in the morning. Repairs on the decking are a bit patchy, but good that they were repaired I guess. Pools were great, and that was what we were there for, hence the 5star.

Not even a star. We attended the pool at 4.15 Saturday 7th January. The changing rooms were filthy - black floor and hair everywhere. It was a busy time as the main hot baths were all full so my children and I went and swam lengths in the big pool. The children went to the tepid pool with the bridge and there were little poo floaties all through this pool. I notified the front desk but did not see any response to this - I removed my children from the pool immediately I also notified the front desk about the state of the change rooms and the attendant gave me a complaint form that I filled out with my details. It was $40 for three adults and 2 children. We live locally and we won’t be going back. I am embarrassed that this is a tourist facility. I was not the only one that thought the facilities were dirty as there were women in the changing room who were also saying the same thing. Embarrassing and sad for Napier as has potential to be great like some other tourist thermal pools

Great coffee and the staff were very helpful coping with my large group even allowing a birthday cake. The young waiter was very sweet taking umpteen photos for us.

Beautiful spot with great selection of heated pools. Cafe on site for that after swim coffee. Very reasonably priced and great staff. Get in early as it gets busy!

The whole experience is ruined every day by unsupervised kids bombing and being a pain in the 2 smaller hot pools. The staff who are supposed to be keeping an eye on things are nowhere to be seen, or standing around with glazed eyes, waiting to clock off. Having one of those pools as 'adults only' would be great.
