This was one of our favorite stays in our 24-day tour of New Zealand. It felt like sleeping in a garden. The living room is cozy for watching a bit of television, and having a washing machine available was a great advantage. It is close to wineries and restaurants but is secluded and quiet. The hosts left us a bottle of lovely wine which we drank later in the trip we were always a bottle or two behind as we travelled. The shower was wonderful and the little dining area was just right for breakfast. Having some juice and yogurt in the fridge would have been welcome, but we knew that it was not included. Sorry we didn't have time to visit the winery, but we had too many others already booked.
We had a fantastic stay in the loft and just love the decor and architecture. It's very clean, cosy and comfortable with everything two people would need. Being far enough away from Cromwell but close enough to pick up supplies and with beautiful relaxing surroundings - highly recommend you stay here.nnPS: The loft and cottage are 2 separate buildings with a large courtyard in-between them each with their own entrances. For our next stay we'll give the cottage a go.
We really enjoyed our stay. Had booked both the Cottage and The Loft. It was an ideal solution for two couples travelling together. Very well equipped. Comfortable beds and lovely hosts. Would highly recommend.
We recently had the most wonderful stay at this delightful cottage. The cottage is so very charming with magnificent views, clean, cosy and very comfortable. Everything we needed was there for our stay including on arrival a lovely bottle of Aurum Wine - how delicious. I can imagine spending some lovely winter days and evenings tucked up beside the fire enjoying the views over to the snow capped mountains. A very special stay - thank you. Lyn and Barry
This place could be so much better. It's poorly equipped e.g. just 1 sharp knife & not a single non-stick pan, the WiFi is just atrocious & there's no working fan or air conditioning. It is a typical example of a place where the owners/management need to stay in it as 'guests' for two or three nights at the hottest & coldest times of the year.nnP.S. Just as we were about to leave, we did a runaround to make sure that we hadn't left anything behind, and found a knife block that had been hidden away!!
