Story

North Shore Events Centre is an indoor arena located in the North Shore City suburb of Wairau Valley, Auckland, New Zealand. The arena opened in 1992 and has a seated capacity of 4,114 plus standing room for about 300, giving a capacity of 4,400.The Centre primarily hosts basketball games and is the home arena of the New Zealand Breakers, who play in the Australasian NBL. It also hosts concerts and netball.In 2009 the Centre hosted the final of the FIBA Under-19 World Championship. The final saw the United States defeat Greece 88-80.BoxingThe Centre has hosted a number of fight nights, the majority of them promoted by Shane Cameron. The most famous fight night was in November 2014 where Kali Meehan fought Shane Cameron for the WBA Pan African Heavyweight Title. Also on the card was the Super 8 Cruiserweight tournament. The event was promoted by John Mcrae and New Zealand Sky Arena, as well as being live on Pay Per View with Sky Arena in New Zealand and Australia Main event.

Huge, tidy, with directions properly posted and visible. We enjoyed the basketball game we watched with Gilas Philippines versus Tall Blacks NZ.
Man I couldn't believe how high tech it was. I went to seem my grand daughter compete in a cheer leading comp. You could have a major concert here, stage is big and heaps of seating. There's a shop for an ale if you want and it also offers chips, coffees etc. Great place.
Easy to find, the arena is a good size for indoor events, facilities were tidy and the staff were polite and helpful. The extended carpark needs to be relayed because there's alot of potholes.
Good service, the bar was well organised and very quick. We were there for the King in the Ring event which was a real hit. Get in early for GA access to ensure you get good seats. Definitely come again, see you at the next event!
Awesome venue for sports fan. This time this place was set for a judo tournament. It was clean, organized and well maintained. Loved the catering area and the huge parking lot. Changing rooms are decent and there is plenty of room in the toilets. In the surrounding area you find amenities like Mc Donald’s, Subway Burger King.
Home show weekend. Bought Cherry Juice from Eden Orchards, good stuff. There were other stalls l went to buy from, but unfortunately they weren't there this time. Go each time with my daughter in law
It was a wet day so we bypassed the outside displays. The inside Home Show was busy and crowded. It rained heavily while we were inside and when I went to get our car there was no way I could get to it without taking my shoes and socks off and wading through the river of water. Very poor control of storm water. Spoiled the out a whole lot
What a shambles. Hundreds of people for cheer leading comp 1 place to get coffee, got turned away twice because they were to busy?? Really?? Once we got served waiting 45 minutes for it and lots of people getting ready to lose it. Worst place ever
Nice little stadium. Really enjoyed the Go Green Expo held 12 and 13 November.
