Excellent place Great staff Wonderful walks Highly recommended

Easy to get to, nice gift shop offerings, lots of extra fun information spread around the upper level about Mt Taranaki, nice little exhibits etc. Good to have the weather forecast displayed on the TV in the lower room. The lady managing the centre was very helpful in recommending tracks and where to find the best lookout spots for each.

Drove there expecting to get advise about the walks but was greated by a person telling us the center was closed due to no power. Then said pamphlets are on the table and there is a weather report on the table. Not for here but to do with the cyclone coming. No help what's so ever. More help from a local walker. Thanks to her we enjoyed our day trip up the mountain.

Beautiful Mt. Taranaki, heaps of walk depends on your fitness levels and weather.

Beautiful park! Freedom campsites with clean toilets and water, lot's of hikes for every type of fitness and what a view over taranaki! Well worth the visit, highly recommend! Make sure it's a clear day, and be prepared for weather to change in a minute, the mountain can be rough sometimes!

Amazing national park with plenty of view points of mt Taranaki and tracks to view waterfalls. Plenty of parking around the park and three roads leading to the upper area of the mountain with one ski field. The roads a pretty windy and narrow in some spots, but otherwise a great place to come.

The way takes ten hours to get into summit from infocentrum. There is one really difficult part to climb. I recommend to take gloves with you because of sharp volcanic rocks.

Beautiful senic drive to the mountain. Blue sky, sunny day. Lovely fresh air. Cafe, visitors centre not open just now.

As must to gather historic and updated information before thinking to climb. Safety First. Reception and Cafeteria hosts wonderful and friendly.
