Another great stay at Nomads. Location is perfect. Rooms basic , but clean and comfortable.  One of the quietest stays I've had in any hotel/hostel ever.  rm 308nPancake Sunday today and checkout came with fresh warm pancakes jam and butter. Amazing

Be aware it's a alcohol-free and smoke-free hostel!nThe room is pretty clean and comfortable, basic squeaky beds.nThe fridges for the food are definitely too small for all that people, the kitchen looked small and messy but haven't used it.nStaff were warm and friendly!

This hostel has a laid-back vibe, and the staff are friendly, but hygiene isn’t exactly a strong point here. Make sure to thoroughly wash your plates, cups, and utensils before using them—and clean your table too while you’re at it. It’s clear that cleanliness isn’t a top priority, neither for the guests nor the cleaning staff.nnThe blankets don’t feel very fresh, so I’d recommend sleeping under just the sheet or bringing your own sleeping bag. Also, be aware: if one person gets diarrhea, sooner or later everyone will be in the same boat.nnOn the positive side, everyone is kind, and there’s a nice international atmosphere. Laundry costs 4 NZD, but it’s just a short wash cycle, so don’t expect spotless clothes.nnIf you’re up for a bit of an adventure and don’t mind roughing it, it’s an okay place to stay. Otherwise, you might want to explore other options.

Old beautiful building. Super close to everything from malls to boardwalks and museums.nWalls are a bit thin and the outdoor area is kinda boring, between four cement walls and no sun light at all.nGood prices though and staff is friendly and recommends good activities to do.

I booked this place by mistake seeing from positive reviews, but hoped to manage for one night. But no. Worst place I have ever been. So stinky. Tobacco smoke smell in rooms. Dirty rooms, bathroom, toilet. Could not wait to get out so I could breath fresh air again. I wonder why anybody would more than 1 star to this place.
