Great experience, nice staff. The kitchen and dining area are huge. I had a room for two, but no one showed up, so I had a full room for myself for 3 days !nIt's next to amenities, and there are lots of parks around, and the dock is great to walk around. Some nice museums too. It's next to well served bus stops as well

Phoenix at reception was lovely. Other staff not really. Even saying hello they didn’t acknowledge me.‘why are they in a front line role? I’m talking specifically about the red head guy. I had a twin bed room. It was comfy but noticed no aircon. Lucky it wasn’t hot when I stayed. Tv casting doesn’t work. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay.

You really should not complain about noise levels if you are in a dorm room, get real. Street noise for my room was non existent but noise from the dining area did carry, though it was not bad.nThe hostel is excellent value for money., pay a few dollars more and have a room with fewer people in it.nBathrooms were relatively clean, be responsible and clean up after yourself, the kitchen and dining areas are the same. It is not rocket science.nThe staff were very friendly and helpful. Checkout at 10am, but you can hang around in the lounge, sometimes all day.nGreat location with the supermarket across the road, museum, Marina, restaurants, etc all close by. The signposted route to walk up Mount Victoria is around the corner.

We have a booking of 2 bed dorm the guy at the reception was too good and he upgrade us to one double bed room. The room was very organized and clean but having a conjustable space to do other stuffs. I have stayed there for 14 days. The kitchen and bathroom are clean all the time. I am little disappointed because our bedsheet doesn't get changed even a single time in 14 days. Although a good and comfy place to live in. Thank you soo much Haka House

Basic hostel. Beds are very nice, but the bathrooms and kitchen are quite outdated. Especially the showers are very small, you have to squeeze in the cabin with not much space to put your stuff. Looks a bit nicer on their website than it really is. Would probably rather check out the other hostels around next time!
