The New Zealand International Film Festival is operated by a Charitable Trust, established in 1996 by the New Zealand Federation of Film Societies Inc. The Trust is a professional, non-profit, non-political organisation with the aims of fostering interest in the motion picture and encouraging a high standard of motion picture creation and appreciation.
