Story

Tony & Janet McNeil and Ashley & Olivia Chester are the owners of New World Porirua. It certainly is a family business!

Tony and Janet moved to New Zealand from Australia 16 years ago, settling into the Porirua region. They have three children and the family are current members of various sporting clubs including the Paremata Boating Club.

Ashley and Olivia are only recent arrivals to NZ and are excited about becoming immersed in the Kiwi culture and also enjoy a spot of sailing.

Porirua affords some wonderful opportunities in this regard with a stunning harbour environment and easy access to great walking and riding tracks and the wine regions of Martinborough and Marlborough.

We look forward to welcoming you to New World Porirua.

New World Bakery - A GAMBLER'S PARADISE! Yessir! With some friends who bought the so called spinach and bacon muffins for morning tea, and there were bets on who would be the lucky one to get an actual piece of bacon in their muffin. May be one in 10. Calculations are they use one rash of bacon per ten thousand muffins and the staff at the bakery don’t know, don’t care. No quality control whatsoever. Most “bacon” muffins are suitable for vegetarians.
Only been here once before and it's a great shop. Staff were saying hi, a staff member saw I had no idea where to find what I wanted so took me there. I was pleasantly surprised at the prices too! Great store
04/09/22 this store is way cheaper than the Akld chain stalls, I like how there are individual vege packs.. great idea. 26/06/22 this store is always presentable and has great customer service. Can find many specials at this store.
Tidy and well laid aisles, plenty of checkouts. Fresh fruit and vegetables section, very impressed, cheers
