I was recently brought into Nelson Hospital by ambulance, and from the very beginning I was shown such compassion and kindness. The ambulance crew were absolutely wonderful, and despite A&E being busy, I was cared for so well and seen within a good timeframe.nnWhat stood out to me most was all the members of staff truly shone, compassion, warmth, and genuine care. Their dedication and kindness really eased a very difficult moment for me.nnWhen I was moved up to the ward, I continued to feel nothing but love and care from every nurse and doctor I encountered. The whole team showed incredible duty of care, and I want them to know how much it meant. I know it hasn’t been easy, especially with staffing shortages and the pressure of many patients, but you all continue to do such an incredible job.nnA special mention also to the cheerful porters especially the funny Irish gentlemen, you know who you are! who brought light-heartedness and humour while taking patients to and from places. That little touch made such a difference.nnThank you to every nurse, doctor, and member of staff for helping me get the diagnosis I needed so I can now recover. I’ll see you again in 6 weeks for my check-up nnYou all deserve recognition and praise, your all doing amazing in hard times - love Fiona x
A & E receptionist is rude. I had a referral from the doctors. Even had my doctor call them to admit me in straight away and coming up 5hrs and I’m still sitting here. Not to mention sitting in the same room with 4 people vomiting. Absolutely disgusting and disturbing. So slow and very frustrating.
From the time my wife arrived at Nelson Hospital she has received the utmost care by doctors, nurses and staff. I could not have asked for her to have had more attention and professional help.nThank you all, and a big hug from me to everyone involved with her care.
On the 24th of March I gave birth at nelson hospital to our beautiful baby boy. I cannot fault the nurses midwives and doctors who helped me through that experience. They were superb, so friendly, and extremely knowledgeable and helpful - our little man had to be resuscitated and put on oxygen, which was scary , however our room went from having 2-4 doctors and nurses to being filled within seconds of all the nurses , midwives and doctors needed to help our little boy. It was incredible! I felt completely at ease knowing that they had it under control. Moments later our little man was breathing on his own. The care we received was impeccable on all fronts , we certainly don’t give these people enough credit for all they do ! Thank you for looking after us ! I would also like to mention that the food was lovely , and so filling thank you chefs ! rooms were kept so nice and clean and super comfy thank you cleaners , Thank you to all !
Excellent caring, compassionate, knowledgeable staff from Urgent care all the way through to ICCU. State of the art equipment as a bonus. Thanks
