My husband and I enjoyed it here. We had some chips, I had Sticky Date Pudding and he had the Double Chocolate Brownie with Berry Compote. Their Mochaccino is the best we’ve had. The ambiance is so chill and relaxing. Food: 5/5
A beautiful cafe with all the green plants. Cozy atmosphere with lovely staff. Food was even more beautiful. The portion was a bit small but tasty. The staff was nice and working hard, but I assume they also have short staff. We have waited for a long time to have dinner. It's still worth to try and hope they have enough staffs.
Dined here for the second time last night. First time food was pretty good. Had pork belly and scotch fillet. Last night was terrible. I ordered fish n chips and partner the scotch fillet again. Fish tasted like cardboard and scotch fillet was inconsistently cooked.Food: 2/5

Initially, the wait staff was a bit slow in attending to our large group, but given the lively conversations we were engrossed in, it didn't pose a major inconvenience. Once our orders were taken, the service improved significantly. The wait staff were friendly, pleasant, and provided good service throughout the evening. The food, undoubtedly the highlight of our visit, was exceptional. Personally, I enjoyed a perfectly cooked medium rare sirloin steak, while a few of my friends savored the braised beef cheeks, which received high praise. The meals were delivered promptly, and it was evident that everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their selections. The restaurant boasts a convenient location and a pleasant atmosphere, enhancing our overall dining experience. Moreover, we found the prices to be reasonable, considering the quality of the food and service. In conclusion, I would recommend The Neighbourhood to anyone in search of a nice restaurant with delicious food and amiable service.
My wife and myself scrolled through a lot of great restaurants in the Tauranga area to celebrate a special occasion with a lunch. We hit the jack pot with this beautiful restaurant, the service staff where the best that I can member for quite a while - was nice to see genuine service is still a thing. The food was absolutely superb, l can't say enough - just so well executed. Thank you so much Wheelchair accessibility: Disability parking was handy
What a great little hidden secret this place is. We held a work memorial there, and we're treated like VIPs. The girls serving our drinks even laughed at my joke when I went up and said, "as Brittany would say, hit me baby one more time!" This is a must place to visit. Have a quiet drink, enjoy the food and feel welcomed.
Service was a bit slow but the sharing platters and drinks absolutely made up for the wait! Staff very friendly and approachable.. Will definitely go back.Food: 5/5
The food here was great. We started with the potato skins, which were perfectly crispy. The rib special came out and was excellent value for money; the sauce was relatively sweet and very tasty. The gnocchi dish was the highlight of the evening; the sauce was so flavourful and rich. We had the lime and raspberry cheesecake and creme brulee to finish the evening. While the brulee was tasty, the cheesecake is not something you can get at many places, and would be our recommendation. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Food was delicious! Favorite was the garlic bread, had me saying "Mmmmmm" after each bite! Felt very welcomed and accommodated. A warm and comforting environment would eat here again.Food: 5/5
Hoping for a beer and some food in the sun. 3pm kitchen was closed offering chips only. Kitchen staff just standing around chatting. Beer seemed watery. Outside tables all full of dirty dishes we had to sit at one of them and stack all the dishes up. No one cleared any dishes off any tables the whole time we were there. It was not busy at all only 2 other groups. I was so looking forward to a pate and bread which was amazing the last time I was there, but they wouldn’t even serve us that. So disappointed this time.
