I know it's on the Michelin bib gourmand guide but I was still surprised how good the dumpling soup noodles were! The broth was delicious and there's a large scoop of minced meat in the middle you can mix in. The noodles have excellent texture and the dumplings were tasty but not overly meaty. Exactly what you want for dumpling soup noodles. By dumpling noodle standards, this place is quite near the top. A hot and hearty meal. Service ain't much to rave about but the place caters to groups and individual diners. They segmented a 4 person table into individual seats with plastic boards.
This place does lived up to its popularity. Even at odd hours there are still lines. The lines does run pretty quick after peak meal hours. Steamed dumplings here is a must and well as the noodle. House kimchi here are on the spicy side with lots of garlic which does compliment well with their food. I do recommend trying this place at least once, they are very good at what they served.
Only four items on the menu, and only three were available when we were there in November one item was a Summer dish, available from Apr to Oct. All three were great! Super delicious. The dumplings were plump and filled with juicy meat with chives. The dumpling skin was soft and thin, complementing the tasty meat stuffing. The bibim noodles were also fragrant, with strong sesame taste, but were less spicy than it looked. My personal favourite was the soup noodle dish, which had chewy noodles in light, fragrant bone broth which was a very pleasant comfort dish in the cold weather.
@19/05/2023. The Kalguksu noodles soup and the pork dumplings were delicious and recommended. Portion wise was good for sharing. We were there past lunch hour so no queue and not crowded. P/S: Would skip the cold green noodles as personally don't really like the taste.
Super tasty noodle soup and dumplings. Service quick, though you need to pay upfront. Has fun service robot which smiles, love that.
Another of the Michelin restaurants in Korea. I think this place needs no introduction it should be one of the 'must visit' restaurants. I think they are really very specialized because you dont need to sell a variety of items and they are only focused on 3 dishes. Most people do come here for the dumplings at least, and I must say there should be nothing to complain about given you are paying 11000 won for 10 dumplings. The dumplings are so good and it looks like it is going to explode. The bite on the dumplings and you can see that the skin is so thin and it is so packed with meat and chives. I really enjoyed it even though it is such a simple dish. Service is very efficient you just wait for the staff to come to your table to take order and food is served within minutes. There is another store down the same street so I don't think it will be hard to get a table, and I don't think there is much different regardless of which store you visit. Really well deserved of the Michelin and definitely a "must visit"!
Super long queue all day everyday, but don’t be deterred, the queue moves quickly and you’ll be seated shortly. Despite the small entrance, the shop has 3 levels of seating. Only 4 items on the menu and service was super quick, you food will arrive minutes after ordering. Very delicious and worthy of the Michelin bib gourmand.Recommended dishesSpicy Noodles, Pork Dumpling, Dumpling Noodle Soup
Delicious it is, but not for Michelin star : Anyway, i like how simple menu they have. The food will come within a few min after u order it. We came around 7:15pm last order 8:30pm and we waited only 5 min for a table. Dont plan that you will stay here long as things go really fast once you sit.
Super yummy noodle soup and cold noodles. No wonder they got Michelin star every year since 2017. Long Queue but it moves fast. Definitely worth revisiting!
I didn't expect much for dumplings in Korea but it was a delightful surprise! The dumplings were superb! With a perfect size for a full mouth bite and great meat texture, the dumplings are mashisoyo! To top it off the price is very reasonable! The soup noodles are flavorful and tasty but can be a little bit salty and oily for some. Service is light speed!
