Vietnamese/ Chinese, maybe more like southern Chinese like Hainan? Either way their meals are great. Great taste, great in value, it’s the only bowl of noodle I couldn’t finish due to the portion. I would totally come back here again!!
First time trying out hai phong. We ordered 2 noodle soups + spring rolls. Unfortunately, the wait time was so long & I noticed other people who came after us got their order first. Also, I ordered number 10 which was “grilled pork noodle soup”. When my order finally got delivered after more than 30 mins, I was served deep fried pork. I asked the server to check as this wasn’t grilled pork to which she replied “oh it says it’s grilled but we serve like this from the kitchen”. Would not come back sorry.
Tried this place for the first time tonight and wow. We will definitely be back to try more on this diverse menu. We ordered mostly chinese dishes and the flavour was very authentic. The portion sizes were great and prices very reasonable. Will be keen to try some of the Vietnamese menu food.
Me and husband come here for the first time to grab some soup and it was delicious.. I order seafood noodle soup and my husband order braise beef noodle soup. Both are so yummy,, also the portion was really big,, We are so surprised, because the price was cheap for such a big portion.. We will be back here again for sure..
more of an Asian fusion than a Vietnamese nonetheless generous portions fast service delicious meal good value for money definitely recommendedFood: 4/5
They got more staffs. Love the chicken with rice. Really big dishes
Always good. You can change rice to fried rice for extra $3Food: 5/5
This place is awesome. It's always tidy and the staff is very accommodating. I love the pho and the portions are good for its price with the free green tea and fresh water considering how expensive Auckland can get this is worth it.
A nifty find in the middle of Northcote Shopping Centre. Hai Phong is the corner shop along with other eateries on the street. As mentioned by other reviewers, quick service and affordable price are the standout qualities of this restaurant. The phò with chicken was superb, and the Haiwanese chicken on rice was great as well, but the rice was a little salty for my liking. I'll be coming back to this place to try out other dishes. The patrons mainly consisted of Asians, but they were diverse. There were couples, work colleagues, singles, families, etc. Hai Phong appears to be an eatery for all ages and backgrounds.
Its more and more garbage not only the price is higher but also the portions are becoming less and less and they don't care about the guest notes at all when they do takeaway. Never come back
