Movenpick Mission Bay

I love heading over to movenpick for a lunchtime/dessert bite! The staff are always so kind and attentive. Quality of ice cream and the variety are perfect. An absolute must especially as we sneak up on hotter days!! Plus the location is perfect! Right across from the beach w nice seatingnnI always have the same order - Swiss chocolate and raspberry strawberry :

We used to visit this place frequently for ice cream, so I was excited to return after several years. Unfortunately, my experience this time was quite disappointing. The chocolate raspberry sundae I ordered for $19.90 was underwhelming, with only the macaroon standing out. In comparison, Ben & Jerry’s is much better. I really wish someone would bring Baskin-Robbins to New Zealand!

Ice cream is a thing in New Zealand for sure. I always prefer buying in bullk from the local grocer but we did try a few flavours here. It's just ok.

1 staff was very arrogant. She urged me to pay when I was doing the maths trying to calculate. After I paid and was given the receipt, it turned out that she charged me 20 cents extra. I returned back to her and she just opened the checkout and give me a 20 cents coin. No apologies at all!nIs this Movenpick's Standard of Service? Is this how Movenpick makes extra money, if customers didn't check and do their own maths?
