Motuihe Island

Great little island for a day trip in the gulf. It's like a park. Please keep it clean and oest free.

Close to the city, but a world away. Excellent bird life. Recommend to stay overnight on the DOC campground. Walk to Bald Knob for sunset. Amazing views.

Amazing beautiful bay. Is so close to Auckland. Great place to get to hang out with family and friends. Great walks and great bays for a swim. Beautiful white sandy beaches all around the island. Snapper bay is magical and clam for Anchorage.

Well worth the trip out. Loads to explore and a couple of hours run to cover every track on the island. Three distinct beaches each with their own view. Check out the graveyard ad ruins if you have time, just avoid the asbestos roof. Flushing toilets, campground and a water ski loop wrap it out.

A beautiful and relaxing place to visit.

Great place to drop anchor and paddle to shore. Or, if you're maybe a little too confident aka probably a little dumb like us, you can swim to shore haha. There's some camping here apparently as well as toilets and even an ice cream shack.

Amazing tiny island in close proximity to Auckland to have a good time. Not crowded and bonus is the long beach.

Beaut day trip. Lots of cool history and if your careful a Tuatara or two!
