Monteith's Brewery

As a craft beer king, Monteith's was a necessary pitstop during our roadtrip. It's in an unassuming location, but the property is large and rustic with a ton of natural lighting and open seating. The beers are slept on, in my opinion, and the brownie we had was perfectly fudgy. The wait staff were very kind and helpful, so all-in-all, it was well worth the visit!

Total thumbs-up here for Monteith’s!nnExcellent food, coffee and of course, beer at this spacious and hip bar/restaurant. Was quiet on a weekday morning around brunch hour, I can imagine how lively it would be on busy evenings in particular!nnEvery dish we ordered was delicious, excellently prepared and we wiped everything clean. Their venison burgers seem popular on Google Reviews and I can confirm they are great! Very flavourful and moist. Love their shoestring fries too - perfectly seasoned and crispy.nnNot forgetting the drinks - for $25 you get to sample a selection of 6 of their beers/ales/lagers and take a journey of different flavour profiles. Our personal favourite was the Golden Lager and this is probably an unsurprising preference but it was fun to try so many different drinks.nnOverall very happy with our visit and would recommend.

Cool brewpub. Plenty of parking and seating.nFood is on the expensive side.nBeers are decent with a good tap selection.nTasting paddle policy is a tad strange to me. It's a set selection and you're unable to change it. Not even one.nOverall experience was ok.

Really good - the kind of quality one would expect in a much larger city. We enjoyed the Thai chicken salad and 'Herbert Street Haul' fish and chips. A bit pricey, but by this point in our trip we were used to it.nnHuge space, but very busy and we were lucky to get a seat without a reservation on a Saturday night.
